Natural Resource Tax for Textiles and the Producer Responsibility System (PRS)

According to the European Parliament and Council Directive 2018/851, which amends Directive 2008/98 on waste, EU member states are required to implement a separate collection system for textiles by January 1, 2025.

In Latvia, the Natural Resource Tax Law stipulates that textile waste management obligations come into effect on July 1, 2024.
